Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
Together We Thrive: Embracing Differences, Fostering Equity
DEI Initiatives
FLO's 5-Part Strategic Commitment
We envision an organization that represents the diversity of the communities where we work, has a strong culture of belonging and inclusion, and supports and enables social equity in our work and our network. We are committed to do the work of fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment because this aligns with our values, enables more innovative and creative approaches to problem solving, and is a critical social issue that matters to us and our clients.
Service Application
We seek to deepen capacity in our services that already have active equity applications and to explore new ways to center equity through our projects.
Employee Experiences
We aim to nurture a culture where all employees feel a sense of belonging and can grow and thrive through professional development, personal improvement, ownership, and connection.
Integrated Learning and Development
We will provide meaningful opportunities for employees to deepen their experience with DEI topics and build the skills needed to advance DEI initiatives.
Community Partnerships
We will build our DEI commitments through expanding our network with women- and minority-owned businesses, and finding tangible ways to support underrepresented communities in our industry.
Authentic Branding
We commit to reviewing and assessing our messaging to ensure our communications demonstrate how we advance DEI in a meaningful and action-based way.
DEI Committee
The DEI Committee is a rotating membership of team members who represent different perspectives and include representatives from the management team and the Board. They oversee implementation of the DEI Strategic Plan by holding regular meetings and participating in projects through subcommittee participation. The Committee is empowered by leadership to develop new initiatives, provide feedback into company operations and service offerings, and engage the collective FLO community in nurturing DEI.
"It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept and celebrate those differences."
