Spatial Asset Management for Hydroelectric Projects
We just kicked off a two year GIS program optimization project for Seattle City Light’s (SCL) Boundary Hydroelectric Project. SCL’s Boundary project supplies more than one-third of Seattle City Light’s power and includes management responsibilities related to fisheries, terrestrial wildlife, habitat protection, recreation, and cultural resources. Key components of the project will include organizing the Boundary group’s GIS infrastructure and developing tools to upgrade their GIS modeling and analysis capabilities. The end goal is to develop a robust and user friendly system that meets multiple end user needs for field data collection, data access and integration, visualization and reporting. We’re partnering with The Gartrell Group to provide SCL with our combined resources and expertise throughout the length of the project.
